What a visit actually includes
Every maintenance visit is the same list, in the same order. Nothing is optional and nothing gets skipped because the crew is running late.

Turf programs
A typical four-round season

Ontario restricts cosmetic pesticide use, so what can legally be applied to a residential lawn here is narrower than in the US. We work inside those rules.
Aeration & overseeding
For lawns that stay thin no matter how often you water
If the turf is patchy, hard underfoot and full of the same weeds every year, the problem is usually compaction — and clay compacts faster than anything. Core aeration pulls plugs out so air, water and seed reach the roots.
- Best in early fall, when seed establishes fastest and weeds compete least
- Paired with overseeding so new grass fills the holes first
- Ideal for the clay most GTA subdivisions are built on
- Noticeably thicker turf by the following spring, not the following week

Lawn care questions
How often should my lawn be cut?
Weekly from late April through June, when growth is fastest, then weekly or bi-weekly depending on heat and rain. Cutting more than a third of the blade at once stresses the plant, which is why skipping weeks in June causes more damage than people expect.
How short should it be cut?
Higher than most people think — around 7 to 8 cm through summer. Taller grass shades its own roots, holds moisture and crowds out weeds. The only short cut we do is the last one in November.
Can you fix the dead strip along my driveway?
That is almost always road salt rather than winter kill. It can be improved with gypsum, topdressing and overseeding in spring, and reduced by changing what gets spread there in winter.
Do you bag the clippings?
Normally no — returned clippings feed the lawn and disappear within a day. We bag when growth has got ahead of us after rain, or when you ask.
